Sakebiru Izakaya

Sakebiru Izakaya is a gem in BSD 👍 It’s a Japanese style izakaya. They have many kinds of foods with nice beer and sake. I love their happy hour for draft beer. Until 5 pm everyday including weekend, they provide draft beer promotion.Draft beer has fresh foam and cold enough. Nice beer and also awesome foods are there. Especially, all yakitori is so good. I love chicken heart most and also like momo, negima, liver, ginkgo, oden, and so on. There are various ramen and udon. I’ve never failed all of them. Among them, I like paitan ramen with smoked duck. For salad, I always order Gresson Salad. This Japanese style salad is unique and fresh, so well matched with other meat, ramen and beer. Guess I got unlucky today, either the maguro or salmon was contaminated, or perhaps both. 30 mins after eating, my stomach started feeling funny, shortly afterwards experienced "Men Chair Red", twice. Please pay more attention to proper storage and hygiene, coz I truly love this place. Cheers

Incredible. The most authentic Izakaya experience you can find in BSD, on par with selections in Blok M. The food is good, with a lot of variety -- and the highballs are awesome and reasonably priced. My only complaint is the waiting list!

Where have I been all this time just to discover this place by now. The place itself is quite spacious and has that izakaya inspired theme. I wasn’t expecting anything when ordering the food. I had the yakitori, the corn dish and many other on the menu and let me tell you that they delivered! For yakitori, they offer a sweet or salty version which is a point plus. The yakitori was really tender and has that smoky flavor which I like. The sauce goes so well with the beef. What surprised me is their grilled or perhaps deep fried corn, not really sure but you MUST order that. It’s salty, sweet, umami and all the goodness in one. The price is also not too expensive for the quality.

Ordered Shimori (White Fish) Tartar Don for the meal and Suntory Yuzu for the drink. The food was great, though I had to add soysauce a bit. The drink was recommended by the staff and it was great. Fresh and tasted like soda even though a cocktail. Or.. maybe it was just me 😅 They have great selection of cocktails which is tempting. I'll definitely come back to try their other dishes.
